Beit Hanon Invasion

It is a crime by all measures! It doesnt take the UN to convene to tell what sort of crime it is neither the Arab states, which contribute to this crime, need to dennounce it so that we realise its size.

America is the biggest wheel in this tank.

Israel is just trying to restore some of its spilled dignity by invading a tiny strip like Gaza supported by the American weaponery and Arabic political cover. It has become the interest of all these parties to get rid of Hamas at any price.

DON’T TURN PALESTINE INTO A SECOND ALGERIA

Either we agree or disagree over Hamas government performance or we think that they didn’t deliver any of their promises because they are weaker than being in authority, or because there is a conspiracy against them, the important issue is that what is going on in Palestine now is an attempt to overturn an elected government.

It is an attempt to turn Palestine into a second Algeria.

Al Awda

The UK based newspaper, Al Quds Alarabi has reported that the Jordanian government has reached an agreement with UNHCR to “transfer” 280 Palestinians who live in Al Ruweshid refugee camp on the Jordan-Iraq borders to Canada. This has been confirmed by the Palestinian Minister of Refugees Affairs.

It is a dangerous step which reinforce the pro-Zionist agenda in transferring Palestinian refugees not around historical Palestine only but even scattering them around the world in an attempt to dissolve our cause and diminish our right of return.

Despite all the attempts which aim at disguising this disgraceful deed with a humanitarian mask, it is clear that this precedent, if went ahead as planned, will open the door to a wider international campaign to end the refugees issue and to transfer them to many other countries.

It also comes in a time where Hamas government is busy with the internal deteriorating Palestinian situation and the absence of any diplomatic communications between the Jordanian government that refuses to communicate with Hamas and the Palestinian government.

These measures from the Jordanian government is receiving acknowledgment from the Palestinian presidency which is always mouthing about engineering Oslo agreement which dropped the right of return on purpose. It also goes in line with what Yaser Abedrabo, a former Palestinian minister, agreed on in the Geneva accord, and not to forget Dr. Nusseiba contribution on giving up the right of return in a memorandum of understanding with the Israeli side.

It is a call to all organisations which support the right of return to stand up and do their duty towards stopping such a deal and press the Jordanian government to accommodate these refugees into the other refugee camps around Jordan and not to take advantage of their plight and miserable living conditions in tents in the desert for more than 3 years.

The Free World Leader

The phrase which Chavez coined and that will now forever be etched into UN history as one of the more colourful criticisms levelled at the US president from his own turf: "This is another abuse and another abuse of power on the part of the devil. It smells of sulphur here, but God is with us and I embrace you all."

The Road to Zarqa

Sometimes you would swear that human is the cheapest asset in this country. No body cares what do you eat or what do you drink. The fat cats in Jordan may feed you any thing, as long as its not their own flesh…I mean cats’ meat!!!

As you may know that Zarqa is a very deprived and poor town, and it has a story to tell about how it has become a hot bed for death. The Road to Zarqa is a dangerous journey and not everyone can make it. Death is everywhere and sometimes the town export its different products of death to neighbouring towns.

On the Road to Zarqa you will come across crazy drivers who have a dogmatic belief in reaching their destination and hit the bus station before the clock’s pointers meet each other over the figure which indicates the one-hour long journey. The kamikaze drivers are ready to sacrifice everything even you as a passenger just comply with their dogma.

However, the journey can’t be of much interest if it comes to this only, thus on the Road to Zarqa you will pass by a huge landfill, which I have never seen myself in my life but I know it is huge because of the smell coming out of it after they lit it. So, while you are sitting in the bus scared to death and holding your breath, you would think to yourself may be I can relief myself now and take a breathe while we are stopping at this traffic light, or you may gasp at the scene of “missed crash”, then you have committed the fatal mistake; you have inhaled the smoke coming out from the burning garbage in the landfill!.

Once you are in Zarqa you will feel that the atmosphere is condensed, sticky and hot and you barely can breathe. The good news that this is all because of the oil refinery which sends continuously its fumes to the air, I am not sure if Jordan is signed to the Kyoto agreement, so that it warms it up and pollute it. All what you can do there is to inhale and inhale and inhale endlessly, there is no other place to escape to unless you want to escape the town!!

Are you hungry?? You can have food with Salmonella from this kebab shop(top) which is called “Alzarqawi”, it sounds familiar isn’t it?? Well…it is another recipe of death Zarqa’s can offer you to make your day.
By the way, do you remember the man who killed the British tourist in Amman? He is also from Zarqa!! I wonder what this town has to offer us in the future!

Now, you passed the Road to Zarqa, you sniffed garbage’s smoke, you filled your lungs with petroleum fumes, you had Salmonella sandwiches, and thinking of having a cup of tea. Zarqa has to offer you the finest water quality in Jordan, it’s a water full of protein and undigested undissolved nutritious elements.

Actually tea in Zarqa is considered a snack!! I remember when I was at university in 1998-1999 that most of the students who come from Zarqa didn’t turn up for a week. For people who don’t know what happened, it is simple…the water was polluted with parasites and, in broad English, Shit!!! Most of the students at that time suffered from bugs and Hepatitis. It's still going on up to now, however people have learnt how to develop immunity.

This how it is in this town which is less than an hour drive from Amman. Can all these things happening in Zarqa be a wakening alarm to our sleeping-snory government!!

Ps. The second cartoon is about the polluted Zarqa creek. You can notice the Red Potty in the corner.

Hmmmm.... I find this cartoon very expressive…it cuts through me like a knife, its not only the seen of the blood that makes it stark...but it's very deep in its meaning.
It brings all the massacres happening in these countries back into live....this cartoon hits u in the face...smacks u...and then leave u thinking how stupid we r!!!

I can imaging Bush setting on the side of a little lake that is formed from the drops with a straw in his mouth...may be a hose with a bump and he is drinking our blood!!!

I am not sure why I feel, when looking to this cartoon, that we are perpetrators and victims at the same time. Is it because we allow all this to happen in our area while we r setting on our arses smoking Arjeela...or drinking tea and at the end of each news we gasp and say lahawalil lah ya rab (God come to our aid)!!!

Tourism victim of Terrorism

I can’t figure out any reason why someone wants to kill a tourist! Its completely insane to throw all what we are going through in this country such as poverty, injustice, ignorance, suppression of freedom of speech and gathering on tourists.
It is obvious that tourists are soft targets, or may be there is a link between the two words, tourist and terrorist so that the former always attracts the later!!

I am not sure if that poor British man really liked Jordan, I mean liked what he saw. He was in the city centre visiting some Roman ruins and just next door to these historical ruins there are contemporary ruins too. They are the run-down areas where poverty marries to misery and feed on each other.

The man who shot the tourist came from a different city (town in western measures) but it is also famous of contemporary ruins. In that town many families and individuals go in compulsory tours from sunshine to sunset to get a glimpse of a piece of BREAD!!!

Trial Posting

Hi,
This is a trial posting....salam to every person who may read these few lines....salam to every one who toils to make this world a better palce to live... and who struggles for the sake of justice....and finally salam to every one in the Wholy Land to where my roots belong.

The name of this blog is the Arabic "Tawel Ballak" which means "Take it easy!" and the blog URL means "No way!" or "Flippin heck!!!". This site will host political material about the situation in the Arab world, the hotest spot of them all, where all big events and sophosticated political conspiracies are taking palce. It will also have some literature and poetry from what i write.

I don't mean to cover every single move or piece of news happening in the area, i am not a reporter or a journalist, i am the lay man who gets crushed every day in this part of the world, i am the one who suffers from high blood pressure not because of salt in my food, if there is any on my table, but because of the fat cats and their big boss who are stepping on my viens every day and reduce my blood circle!!

I will talk about what is annoying me, and what i can see as injustice whether its social injustice, economic, political or religious. I want you to tell me what do you think of this part of the world and what do you feel if you live here. So please post your comments because it is appreciated and very important. I will be writing more in Arabic because its my first language, but i will be giving space for English language in case i have global readers.

I may write a line or two, and i may write three pages in one go. Never ask where am i if i disappear for few days, may be in prison!!, and never get fed up from visiting my blog, because there must be something new for you to read.

Remember, i am not a journalist or politician or intellectual, i just write! consider it to be my way of saying "I disagree" or "tough!".

Thanks for being patient while reading.
